NEW DELHI: Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, has gotten engaged to Saaniya Chandok in a private ceremony attended by close friends and family members, as per media reports. Saaniya is the granddaughter of prominent Mumbai industrialist Ravi Ghai, whose family owns the InterContinental hotel and Brooklyn Creamery ice cream company.The engagement ceremony was an intimate affair with attendance limited to close friends and relatives from both families. Neither the Tendulkar nor the Ghai families have made any official statements regarding the engagement.Saaniya Chandok comes from one of Mumbai’s prominent business families and is known for maintaining a low public profile. Her family has established themselves in the food and hospitality sectors through their ownership of significant business ventures.25-year-old Arjun Tendulkar, a left-arm fast bowling all-rounder, currently represents Goa in Indian domestic cricket and has played for the Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL). His cricket career began with junior cricket in Mumbai, followed by selection to the India U19 team.His senior domestic cricket journey started in the 2020-21 season when he made his T20 debut for Mumbai against Haryana. He later moved to Goa for the 2022-2023 season, where he made his List A and first-class cricket debuts.In his red-ball cricket career, Arjun has participated in 17 matches, claiming 37 wickets. His bowling achievements include one five-wicket haul and two four-wicket hauls.
