PUNE/NAVI MUBAI: Probe into the abduction of a heavy vehicle’s helper by an SUV driver during a road rage incident in Navi Mumbai on Saturday found that dismissed IAS officer Puja Khedkar’s father, Dilip Khedkar, was in the SUV. The police said the retired state government officer was in the car. Both he and his chauffeur later absconded the SUV, a Navi Mumbai police officer added. The helper was rescued on Sunday from Khedkar’s Pune bungalow, where police reached based on the SUV’s number. A case has been filed against Puja’s mother Manorama for not allowing Navi Mumbai police to enter the bungalow for over an hour. Later when they returned with Pune cops, Khedkar had shifted the SUV out and let her dog loose on the premises, which charged at a cop.
