NEW DELHI: An iron bridge collapsed over Indrayani river near Kundamala village in Maharashtra’s Pune on Sunday, leaving a few people feared trapped, according to the Pimpri-Chinchwad police. Four people died, 32 were injured, and six were rescued, while some swept away. He confirmed the incident and said an NDRF team has joined the efforts to rescue people.Meanwhile, PM Modi spoke to Devendra Fadnavis to inquire about the ongoing rescue operations. 125 tourists were standing on the same spot on bridgeFormer vice president of Cantonment Board Dehu Road, Raghuvir Shelar, said that the incident occurred at around 4 pm. He added that around 125 tourists were standing on the same spot on the bridge, and it suddenly collapsed.“Nearly 20-25 people were drifted away by the river. Some of them were taken out by local workers, while 4-5 are still stuck under the bridge,” he said.Talking about the incident, CM Fadnavis said that he has spoken to the divisional commissioner, tehsildar and police commissioner.

They have been admitted to the hospital for treatment,” he said in a post on X.
